Student council 2023-2024
Welcome to our Student Council page. The Student Council is democratically elected and consists of two members from each class level from 1st to 6th. The campaign trail started at the beginning of the school year and elections took place in November. The candidates tried to persuade us to vote for them by creating some very eye-catching posters which were hung around the school. We listened to some very passionate and well-delivered campaign speeches. Voting took place by secret ballot.
The Student council aims to give children a voice in our school. We discuss ideas with the staff and we ask our classmates for suggestions as to how we can represent them best. We hold regular meetings with Ms. Presnail. We have a noticeboard in the corridor and we also have a suggestion box where the students can write suggestions, questions and comments.
We are organising a Fantastic Festive Feast at the moment where students are encouraged to dress up their favourite vegetable. All entries cost 3 euro and all proceeds will go to the Saint Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal.

'Lots of Socks' for Down Syndrome Ireland!
