Congratulations to our “Fearless Four” Team A who came in first place in the Credit Union Quiz in Claremorris. They are busy preparing for the Regional Finals in March. A very well done to our Team B who also scored well. Junior and Senior Infants started game stations outside. There were four separate stations- Hoola hoops, stilts, ladder game and hopscotch. 6th class were put with groups to help them and tell them what to do. The small children really enjoyed the games and they didn’t get too bored as they moved stations every few minutes. We will do it on a Monday and Friday. “Friends for Life” is going well. We have done pizza massage and other relaxation techniques such as “Milkshake Breathing”. Milkshake breathing is where you get a straw and breathe in through your nose and lightly out through your mouth. We had a visit from Caroline from the Road Safety Authority this week. Bricks Club is going very well. Have a look at some lovely art from our three classrooms. The Junior Room explored the technique of Pointillism, the Middle Room produced some lovely cityscapes and the Senior Room drew some very interesting portraits of each other. On St. Brigid’s Day, February 1st, we made some lovely crosses from rushes/reeds. The children from Ms. Geraghty’s and Ms. Muldoon’s rooms went into small groups. We all helped each other.
