The first two weeks back to school after Christmas have been busy. The Credit Union Quiz teams have been chosen. The under 11 “Fearless Four” is Conn, Eleanor, Aisling and Daragh with Faith as a sub. The over 11 “Fearless Four” is Jack, Eóin, Karl and Jason with Tom as a sub. The competition will be held on the 28th of January in Claremorris Town Hall. We are all looking forward to it.
Zumba started back on Thursday. It was nice to see Michelle back in our school. She is very lively, friendly and patient. She teaches us different dances e.g. “Tiptoe” by Jason Derulo. Zumba is a great way to get fit.
Friends For Life has started again for 3rd, 4th and 5th classes. Ms. Presnail and Ms. Geraghty do it with us. We go into groups on Fridays; there are four in every group. We talk about feelings and we learn skills to help us to become brave and confident.
All the children in the school are learning about the area of Cross. We are exploring the landscape and we are also learning about different features and places in our local area. It is very interesting. We have found our townlands on the map and have translated them into Irish.
