We will be participating in the selection of the mascot for the under 17 team soccer for the UEFA Championships. We had to come up with a mascot that represents Ireland. A lot of schools are participating in this. Some people drew leprechauns and potatoes. If your mascot is chosen it will be used and you will win tickets to the match for your class. A lot of the boys are doing this instead of the credit union art competition but some people are entering both competitions. Mr Bourke showed us different mascots from the World Cup. Some were from the 1960s. One of them was an orange thing. We thought it was ugly. It was just like a blob. We are all very excited to start our drawings and then see the finished drawings.
We are participating in the Credit Union Art Competition. The theme this year is “The Power of Nature”. Some people drew things like storms, trees, waves, thunder, lightning and jungle scenes. We take part in the Credit Union art competition every year.

Rainy Days
Even though the weather was not kind to us this week, we still found ways to keep active.
Remember to check out our STEM page for details of some science activities we did this week.
