It was an eventful day for Clíodhna who came ninth in the Mayo cross country race in Ballina on Thursday. She will be moving onto the next round in Roscommon. The race commenced at eleven o’clock on the 26th of September where the only contestant for our school lined up proudly wearing the Cross N.S. jersey. It was a long race and the conditions were abysmal, people were slipping and sliding all over the track but luckily Clíodhna stayed upright thanks to her grass spikes. A pair of twins came first and second. We wish Clíodhna all the best in her next round.
