Good luck to the Neale
The Neale Intermediate’s Gaelic football team are in the semi-final of the championship. They are playing Burrishoole in McHale Park on Sunday. They got to the final three years ago so can they do it again. There are a few players who are on the team who were pupils at this school such as David and Stephen Morrin, Aidan O Sullivan, John Coleman, Keith Hennelly, Michéal Varley, Conor O’ Malley and Rory King. The manager is Eoin Hughes. The game starts at 4 o clock. The captain is Stephen Conroy from Cong. I think the game is going to be really tight. Burrishoole has Jason Doherty on the team. The Neale beat Parke by 2 points in Claremorris to get into the semi-final. We wish The Neale the best of luck from all of us at Cross N.S.

Violin Lessons
On Wednesday the new second and third class children went to violin lessons for the first time. The teacher’s name is Sorcha. They started off by plucking the G, D, A and E strings. It was really exciting when they got their first sheet of music. It was called “Stepping Stones”. They learned about the different parts of the violin. Violin lessons are for children from second to sixth class. Everybody is doing very well indeed.
