F.A.I. Spar 5s
We are very proud of these boys who reached the Mayo final of the F.A.I. 5-a-side competition in Solar 21 Park in Castlebar on Wednesday. You can read our match report under the photo.
On Wednesday, April the 10th, our senior room boys represented the South Mayo district in the F.A.I. Spar 5's in Solar 21 Park, Castlebar. Our squad on the day was: Patrick, Eóin, Daragh, Tom, Evan and Stephen. The first match was against Parke N.S. It was a good game which saw Tom scoring a hat-trick and Evan scoring a goal to end the match 4-1. Up next was a match against Eachleim N.S. which we won with a scoreline of 3-1. Evan hit the back of the net twice. Eóin scored also. Those two comprehensive wins ensured our place in the semi-final which saw us up against our neighbours, Cong N.S. The scoreline in this tense match was 2-1 after extra time. We reached the final which we played against Brackloon N. S. We had a great match but unfortunately the result didn't go our way on the day. Tom scored in this match and the final scoreline was 2-1. We played very well all day and it was a huge honour to represent our school in a final at county level.
S.T.E.M. Showcase
Thursday afternoon was a very enjoyable one in our school. We were delighted to showcase all the work we had done in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Our parents and grandparents visited and we all really enjoyed the experience. Please visit our STEM page for more details.
