Team Hope Ireland Shoebox Appeal
Look at all the shoeboxes the children from our school filled for the Team Hope Ireland Shoebox Appeal. As always, the children from our school have been extremely generous and kind. Well done everybody.
The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark
The children in Ms. Muldoon’s class have been reading the novel “The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark” by Jill Tomlinson. Look at their wonderful artwork.
Houses and Homes
The children in the Junior Room are exploring the theme of “Houses and Homes”. In the story the “Three Little Pigs", the pigs built houses from different materials. The children in Ms. O’ Haire and Ms. Geraghty’s room are great builders too. They made houses using paper, glue, scissors, twistables, crayons, markers, pencils and coloured matchsticks.
P.C.H. Open Day
On Thursday, the 6th class attended the open day in Presentation College, Headford alongside other schools from the area. We were paired with Castlehacket N.S. and Headford Girls N.S. First thing in the morning, we all met up in the gym. After our names were called out, we went with our supervisor who was with us for the day. The first subject we did was Science. We did two more subjects before small break and then after small break we did a few more subjects, one of which was Metalwork which everyone thought was really cool. After big break, we went into the study hall and did some Wellbeing. That was really fun especially as they gave us chocolate. We went to do Woodwork after that which everyone enjoyed. After Woodwork, we went to Home Economics. The 1st and 2nd years made us cookies which we got to bring home. The last class we did was Business Studies. We really enjoyed our day.
