Zumba

Spring is in the air. We were lucky enough to have Zumba with Michelle outside on Thursday morning.

​Aistear

Now that Spring is here, the children in the Junior Room are exploring the theme of Springtime/ The Farm.  In Aistear we played at working on the farm where we did all the jobs. We had a list of jobs to do and we also kept a Farm Diary. We made sure to read all the warning signs because we have to be safe on the farm. 

We had a lot of fun playing with the farm set in the Small World area.

We created loads of things with márla.

​We even designed our own farms in the Creative/Art area.

​B.C.S. Open Day

​​On Monday and Tuesday of this week, 6th class pupils went for their open day in Ballinrobe Community School. On Monday we arrived at the school and all went into the gym. We were put into our groups for the two days.  We were with children from Robeen, Partry, Roxboro and Tourmakeady schools.
It was nice to meet people from other schools. We had to wear our full uniform for the two days. The first class we went to on Monday was Home Economics where we made pizzas. Next, we went to music and had a go on the ukulele. We had languages next where we explored French and German and afterwards we had food in the deli. We had an exam in the afternoon.
Our first subject on Tuesday morning was Woodwork. We made a phone/tablet holder. Technical Graphics was very interesting. Metalwork was fun as we made a mirror. We had lunch and it was lovely. Our last class was Art and it was very good. We really enjoyed our two days in secondary school.
